The New Home Design Process
New construction of a home is a dream for many; we make it a reality. We carefully design these homes with our clients’ vision in mind. We approach the design process holistically and work through the detailed steps with our client.
The process begins with our clients’ idea and the plans drawn up by their architect. The design can use our CAD-modeling software as well as local firms to achieve the goals. We adhere to very stringent schedule and budget parameters while maximizing the finished product. We value our client’s feedback in a new home construction, but are also able to elevate the project beyond what a homeowner could themselves. Our team has extensive experience building new custom homes in the Wilmington area.
We have extensive experience within the design landscape regarding coastal environments in New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick counties.
The Building Process
The building process for a new custom home is much like the design process for a remodel or addition. Over the years Doug Echols has formed relationships with trusted local vendors, sub-contractors, and suppliers of high quality materials. This allows Doug and the team to take the initial concept and bring the homeowner’s vision to life.
We adhere to our building schedules using Co-Construct, a construction management software. This software allows our clients to stay up to date 24/7 and allows for impressive communication and change management. We always encourage client feedback and we communicate throughout the building process from permitting to foundation to framing to completion of the home.
